Birmingham City Council are looking for a number of experienced Mental Health Social Workers to join busy and thriving team. Team led by a Team Manager with wealth of experience who believes in support and development and healthy work / life balance.
Your new role
You will assess the needs of people with acute, complex or enduring mental health issues and the needs of carers. You will monitor, review and evaluate services in order to ensure that they are provided effectively in accordance with need, together with the service users and carers. Formulate and implement care plans appropriate to their needs You will have a good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and up to date safeguarding. In addition, a clear understanding of Continuing Health is needed to be able to robustly assess clients.
What youll need to succeed
- Mental Health Social Work experience
- AMHP Qualification
- Passion for improving lives and supporting those in need
- HCPC registration with relevant Social Work degree
- BIA is an advantage
What youll get in return
Previous, direct experience of delivering social work to Adult Service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key legislation, able to produce reports and maintain records. A recognised social work qualification is a necessity for this role.
