Sheldon Phillips provide Qualified Social Work staff across the South East of England to Local Authorities, Private/Voluntary companies and charity’s. Since they were founded in 2012 by Managing Director Jamie Trick, they have grown into a well respected and very reputable agency.
“We focus all of our attention on the desires and needs of our candidates and clients” says Jamie. “We have a broad and detailed understanding of the social care sector and we try to differentiate ourselves from other companies by offering a more personal service. By focusing on their needs and not our own, we have built a strong reputation for candidate and client care, which is just fantastic for a small business.”
With their ethos being more centred on candidates and clients, Sheldon Phillips have recently expanded their knowledge and contribution to the sector using social media. Regular blog posts featuring hot topics in the sector, tweeting the latest news and views and even a new Instagram page has really got them into the thick of things.
With the Government changes to IR35 happening earlier this year, the social care sector has seen some big changes in 2017. The locum market is still strong, but Sheldon Phillips have also greatly increased their Permanent offering in the sector. “Expansion is key for our business”, explains Jamie. “As a business we have improved our locum offering to clients and candidates by adding a number of new contracts this year, however we have also really increased our Permanent Division too. Ric Marshall has been key on that side of our business and we expect to see further expansion in the New Year”.
