The Yorkare Care Home in Beverley, East Yorkshire, has opened for people with dementia. This fantastic Care Home has two sets of retro street scenes that help recreate familiar memories for residents. The ‘shops’ include Bev’s Bakery and The Marketplace, a cocktail bar, cinema, a beauty spa, a ‘jukebox music store’, a tea room and many more. The 1.4-acre site also has two large gardens, with an artificial bowling green for fun and games. There’s outside access on all floors, including a covered roof garden on the second floor for when the weather turns.
All the 78 bedrooms are large with full en-suites, with the ground floor bedrooms having private patios. There are also a range of premium suites designed for couples.
Laurence Garton, Development Director, said ‘We are extremely happy with how Beverley Parklands is progressing, we have taken the designs from our last two award winning projects and implemented these, along with some new ideas, here. We won the healthcare design awards due to the facilities our homes provide and the ‘dementia friendly’ design.’
Recruitment is now open for the 2nd stage staff for the following positions: Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants. Please go to the career page of their website and complete an online application form.
